Esta cifra, notablemente superior a la registrada en agosto, deja el parque total de líneas en 10,33 millones, que suponen un incremento interanual del 8,5% y una proporción de 22,1 líneas por cada 100 habitantes, según datos de la última Nota Mensual publicada por la Comisión del Mercado de las Telecomunicaciones (CMT).

La implantación de las nuevas tecnologías en el ámbito sanitario permite al paciente una conexión casi permanente con su servicio médico. Aproximadamente seis de cada diez pacientes (57%) afirman querer disponer de acceso a su registro sanitario, con el objetivo de consultar en cualquier momento el historial médico o los tratamientos que está recibiendo. La estadística de Movimientos Turísticos de los Españoles (FAMILITUR), en 2009 ha revelado que los residentes en España realizaron 171,7 millones de viajes, El 92,5% de estos viajes, es decir, 158,9 millones tuvieron como destino España. Con respecto a 2008 el total de viajes registró un ligero descenso de un 0,3% y los viajes con destino interno retrocedieron un 0,7%. Por el contrario, el número de viajes con destino el extranjero se incrementaron un 5,5% y se situaron en 12,8 millones.
